Hollow Decking

FRP Decking and Planking

Hollow Decking

Our FRP Hollow Decking, made from Fiber Reinforced Polymer (FRP), was successfully used on Thailand's Rama VIII Bridge. These GFRP pultruded hollow web panels reduce wind resistance, lower maintenance costs, and enhance aesthetic appeal. Installed after rigorous field loading tests, our decking offers superior quality and reliability for any project

    Description

Rama VIII Bridge in Bangkok, opened in 2001, spans the Chao Phraya River. It has a 475-meter main bridge with a 300-meter main span, totaling 2,480 meters. The deck load is 2.5 KN/m².

    Hollow Decking

For this large steel structure bridge, GFRP (Glass Fiber Reinforced Polymer) pultruded hollow panels are used to create a closed enclosure around the previously exposed steel beams under the bridge deck. This application serves multiple purposes: reducing wind resistance, lowering maintenance costs, and enhancing the aesthetic appearance of the bridge.
